Kuala Lumpur Kelang Valley MRT, Malaysia
Introduction: CREG two EPB TBMs were deployed for Kelang Valley MRT, Malaysia, running in sandy mudstone formation with high water content, highly weathered mudstone, Kenny Hill eluvium and built-up areas, and was then re-manufactured for Delhi Metro where geology was more challenging with full face of hard rock.

Project Facts

Product Facts

Kelang Valley MRT runs in sandy mudstone formation with high water content, highly weathered mudstone, Kenny Hill eluvium and built-up areas. TBM CREC-50 and CREC-51 were deployed for this project. CREC-51 achieved 347.20m monthly advance. It was then re-manufactured for Delhi Metro where geology was more challenging with full face of hard rock. The machines successfully broke through both KL and Delhi metro tunnels.
