A procurement contract for one Earth Pressure Balance (EPB) TBM was signed between China Railway Engineering Equipment Group Co., Ltd (CREG) and one of the largest engineering companies of Singapore SSJV (Sinohydro-Sembcorp), the first purchasing order of GREG in overseas market in 2016.

The machine will be applied to the T227 project of Singapore Thomson-East Coast Line. The 6.72 m diameter EPB TBM is 105 m long with minimum radius curves of 200m. It will drive through a 2×750m tunnel. CREG has already exported slurry TBM and rectangular pipe jacking machine to the Singapore market previously.

On the same day, CREG signed a procurement contract for the 12.14m diameter EPB TBM with the Sixth Engineering Bureau CREC in Beijing. This EBP TBM with CREG independent intellectual property rights has the largest diameter in China and will be used for the Southwest Ring Project of Taiyuan Railway hub.
